Role Overview
Prompt Supply and its sister company, Innovation Furniture, are seeking a Human Resource
Manager to oversee all HR functions and drive people strategies that align with business objectives. This is a replacement position, and the ideal candidate will be a seasoned HR generalist with
experience handling recruitment, compensation, training, legal compliance, and employee
relations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Staffing
Manage end-to-end recruitment for all departments, ensuring the company attracts and
retains top talent. Develop and implement staffing plans to meet business demands. Oversee the on-boarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
2. Compensation & Benefits Management
Administer payroll, benefits, and incentive programs in compliance with company
policies. Ensure salaries, bonuses, and allowances align with industry benchmarks and legal
standards. Oversee employee welfare programs (e.g., lunch, transport, airtime, and data provisions).
3. Compliance & Legal Framework
Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws, employment contracts, and workplace
policies. Handle disciplinary issues and grievance resolution while maintaining confidentiality. Keep up-to-date with labor regulations and advise management accordingly.
4. Training & Development
Identify training needs and develop learning & development programs to enhance
employee skills. Organize workshops and coaching sessions to improve performance and productivity.
5. Employee Relations & Performance Management
Develop HR policies that foster a positive work culture and high employee engagement. Manage performance appraisals and support department heads in setting performance
targets. Implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and boost morale.
6. HR Operations & Reporting
Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR software systems. Generate HR reports for management, including workforce analytics and performance
metrics. Work closely with Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and the MD to align HR strategies
with business needs.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a
related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR role, preferably in FMCG or a fast-paced
environment. Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Tech-savvy, with proficiency in HR software and digital tools. Calm, level-headed, and capable of resolving HR matters professionally.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: UGX 4,500,000 – 5,500,000 Gross
