    Job Purpose

    The Manager, Advisory will be responsible for sourcing and leading advisory engagements, driving business growth, and delivering high-impact solutions to clients across various industries. This role involves managing consulting projects, analysing business challenges, developing recommendations, and ensuring client satisfaction. The manager will also play a key role in business development, team leadership, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the firm’s overall growth and market positioning in Burundi and the East African region.

    Growth& Profitability

    • Developingand implementing strategies for business growth and expansion.

    • Conductingmarket research and analysis to identify trends and opportunitiesfor business growth.

    • Identifyingand pursuing new business opportunities and revenue streams.

    • Respondto bids and prepare both technical and financial proposals.

    • Deliverwithin the scope of the projects while meeting or exceedingprofit targets.

    • Followingup on the payment of fees by clients.

    Leadership/ Employee Excellence & BDO Relationships

    • Providingleadership and guidance to team members.

    • Coachingteam members, recognizing their strengths, and encouraging themto take ownership of their personal development.

    • Mentorand develop junior consultants, providing guidance and support tohelp them achieve their full potential.

    • Conductingregular performance reviews and implementing improvementinitiatives.

    • Resolvingissues which prevent the team from working effectively.

    • Buildingand maintaining a strong organizational culture that valuesdiversity and inclusion.

    MarketFocus / Client Centricity

    • Ensureextensive analysis of client needs, existing client processes,understanding client’s business landscape, definingrequirements, and then expertly delivering solutions andstrategies.

    • Manageclient relationships and set expectations.

    • Provideclients with timely updates on project progress/phases.

    • Carryout after-sale services monitoring and evaluation to ensurecustomer needs are met and issues properly addressed.

    • Liaisingclosely with clients to ensure that required information isreceived and handled efficiently and effectively.

    • Researchand resolve any technical queries from clients.

    OperationalExcellence

    • Developingwork plans in line with the strategic plan.

    • Sourceand bring together subject matter expertise for specified nicheprojects.

    • Manageproject risk, up/cross-selling, and oversight of teamdeliverables.

    • Supportall department divisions in proposal development and QualityAssurance of all documents produced before submission.

    • Monitorefficient execution and timely delivery of projects to clientswithin the designated timeframe.

    • Managethe planning and execution of consulting projects, includingproject management, research and analysis, and report writing.

    • Ensuringeffective management of client data and confidentiality.

    • Leadproject teams and work closely with senior consultants to developand execute effective solutions for clients.

    Quality,Risk, and Compliance

    • Developingand implementing risk management strategies and controls.

    • Draftcomprehensive project reports and recommendations to theorganization’s management/client.

    • Ensuringcompliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

    • Developingand maintaining internal and external communication channels.

    Experience& Qualification:

    • Bachelor’sdegree in Business Administration, Management, Finance,Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

    • Professionalcertifications such as ACCA, PMP, M&E qualifications andothers are desirable.

    • 5–8years of experience in consulting, strategy, or business advisoryservices.

    • Provenexperience leading projects in the consulting space for privateand public sector clients.

    • Strongknowledge of the Burundian business environment, regulatoryframework, and economic landscape.

    SpecificSkills:

    • Abilityto analyse complex business challenges, develop data-drivensolutions, and drive execution.

    • Strongskills in managing projects, budgets, teams, and stakeholders todeliver results.

    • Expertisein building client relationships, identifying opportunities, anddeveloping proposals.

    • Understandingof Burundi’s business environment.

    • Proficiencyin MS Office suite.

    • Proficiencyin English, Kirundi and French is required.
