JOB SUMMARY
The primary role of Business Development Officer is to present all Spark Talent Solutions’ services to key decision makers within targeted Organisations and grow sales revenue. The Business Development Officer will build mutually beneficial business relationships, present compelling presentations and close business.
This is a largely independent field sales role and require a person with a high degree of business maturity. Through training, this individual will acquire expertise on the Spark Talent Solutions services. He /She is responsible for understanding the clients’ business, recommending solutions that are fulfilling to the clients’ needs and managing delivery within the agreed timelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Key initiator of new business development targeting Start-Ups, medium to large sized accounts for strategic penetration.
2. Attain the set individual revenue target
3. Maintain a pipeline that’s three times the monthly revenue target
4. Attend weekly Plan and Review sessions with your line manager which includes an assessment of all new and existing opportunities and key measures:
a) Face-to-face meetings to report revenues achieved against the set monthly target
b) New opportunities updated to the pipeline and progress updates
c) Deals closed
5. Independently calls on mid to senior-level executives and other representatives to generate product, program, and consulting sales.
6.Diagnoses and assesses client needs. Prescribes, designs and implements strategic interventions using the full range of existing Spark Talent Solutions guidelines. Presents and provides individual client consultations in context with overall intervention strategy as needed.
7. Writes and oversees effective business proposals.
8. Closes business consistently within the Spark Talent Solutions Standards.
9. Designs custom programs and tailors standard programs to meet individual client needs.
10.Designs account strategy and business development to develop new and existing accounts.
11.Thoroughly understand and execute the agreed upon KPI’s
REQUIREMENTS
1. Have strong business development skills within the corporate environment preferably in professional services.
2. Proven track record of success in sales.
3. Requires a consultative sales background with demonstrated skills in the areas of lead generation, forecasting, prospecting and driving opportunities to closure.
4. Have strong management skills or project management skills including time and task management, strong communication and presentation skills.
5. Proven skills in Problem Solving, Decision Making, Negotiation skills with Accountability.
6. A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, high levels of commitment, energy, motivation, flexibility and personal integrity.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1.Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent required plus a minimum of 3 years professional work experience in marketing and business development.
2.Computer literate with strong Microsoft application skills and great report writing skills.
